Smoke from the Trepanier Creek hearth was seen from Freeway 97C
The BC Wildfire Service is reporting two new wildfires within the neighborhood of the Okanagan Connector.
The Trepanier Creek hearth is seen from Freeway 97C and is situated simply north of the freeway. It isn’t removed from the Jack Creek hearth that was began by lightning on September 7.
Whereas the reason for the Trepanier Creek hearth continues to be listed as unknown, BCWS confirms that lightning is believed to have sparked the second new hearth Wednesday afternoon.
The Silver Creek hearth is situated south of Freeway 97C and is already underneath management.
BCWS says a rap-attack crew has been dispatched to the Trepanier Creek hearth and shall be staying in a single day on the scene. Each fires are lower than one hectare in measurement.
Thunderstorms rolled by means of the neighborhood of the Okanagan Connector Wednesday, bringing torrential rain and hail that prompted a collection of crashes on the route.
