Three injured after fight and hit-and-run on North Road, St Helens


THREE folks have been taken to hospital following experiences of a hit-and-run collision in St Helens on Friday night time.

Police say they had been referred to as at 9.30pm to report a girl had been discovered mendacity in North Street.

Officers spoke to witnesses on the scene and it’s believed that previous to the incident a struggle had damaged out involving a bunch of individuals.

Hit-and-run collision

In the course of the disturbance, a Ford Fiesta is reported to have collided with quite a lot of folks.

The automobile is then believed to have left the scene and was discovered deserted a brief distance away.

Three in hospital

A lady in her 30s and a person in his 40s had been each taken to hospital with head accidents and a girl in her 40s was taken to hospital with again and facial accidents.

Not one of the accidents are believed to be life-threatening.

Three arrests

A 20-year-old lady, a 38-year-old lady and a 46-year-old man have all been arrested on suspicion of affray.

An investigation into the incident is underway and inquiries stay ongoing.

Cordons had been in police on North Street final night time, the place residents described their shock on the incident.

One other cordon was in place close by Crab Road.

Police say their investigation stays at an early stage.

‘Investigation at early levels’

Detective Inspector Graeme Osborne mentioned: “Our inquiries are on the early levels as we search to determine what occurred final night time.

“We’re finishing up house-to-house, CCTV and witness inquiries and would urge anybody who may help with our investigation to contact us.”
